Haf yng Ngogledd Cymru (Summer in North Wales)
Hi! Welcome back to my recently renovated blog!
I've changed it up a bit as I wanted to include the steps I'm taking in my life and to share these with you. I'll still include random posts about my thoughts on various issues, but there will be more personal content about events and achievements in my life, mainly for the interest of friends who I'll not be in touch with as often as I leave university life at St Andrews.
I've changed the blog name inevitably because I am no longer a magistrand (a fourth year undergraduate student) but I am sitting in limbo until my eventual graduation on the 23rd June when I will become a graduand, and indeed, an alumnus of the University of St Andrews. I have received my results, but I want official confirmation before I share them with the world. But here's a sneak preview...I passed! Anyway, back to the blog title...the name many of you won't recognise as it evidently does not belong to your English repertoire...it means 'steps along the journey' in my native Welsh language, which I thought was appropriate as I venture into new territory of post-gradation life. I also want to put more of my heritage in my blog, so every post title I'll be utilising will be written in Welsh, with a translation for those who think it's just an invented language with an aversion to vowels!
So this week I travelled back to North Wales for the summer and managed to fill a hired van full of my belongings. I think when I move to Durham for my Masters degree, I will have to downsize quite a lot!
Even a week on, I'm still trying to find homes for my mounds of personal property and it's proving a difficult task, made more difficult by the fact that I now have access to 24/7 Sky television at my disposal!
This weekend, starting this evening, I'm attending various theology seminars organised by a Catholic retreat centre nearby. I'm really looking forward to it as the speakers look very knowledgeable and the content of their talks is pertinent to my interests. I'll keep you posted on that!
So, there will no doubt be another celebratory blog post very soon, regaling to you my official results. But it's wise not to count one's chickens before they've hatched and as with all things, patience is a virtue!
But whether you're a regular or a new reader of my blog, thanks for clicking and I hope you'll stay with me over the next year as I venture into life as a postgraduate student, and beyond into what will hopefully before the life of full time employment!
Hwylfawr, gyda caru x

Steph, this is so lovely! I love that you're incorporating Welsh! Wishing you peace as you await your results, and can't wait to read about your life post grad. Xx
